Water Heater Burst? Don't Worry We Have Your Back!
We received a call from a client talking about how the water heater in their basement had burst. Our Project Manager went to the job to understand what needed to be accomplished. Some of which included wet carpet, which runs the risk of microbial growth, another problem we faced was damp drywall. When we arrived on the job site, The homeowner had turned the water heater off as they were working on repairing it. We attacked the standing water by using the extractor to remove the water. Once atmospherics were done, we got material readings in the family room and found significant progress on the carpet. The drywall and trim have seen some progress but not a whole lot. The understairs closet has found significant improvement on all materials. In the bedroom, we were getting high drywall readings just about everywhere. Still, the wall adjacent to the understairs closet looked pretty for readings. We found all materials to be at goal; we pulled equipment under the stairs.
