Garage Fire and Freshly Cleaned Carpets
We could not figure out what started this three-car garage fire which was put out with water by the fire department. There was a smoke smell lingering, so we brought in air scrubbers to help alleviate the remaining smoke smell—some of the carpet needed to be extracted caused by the efforts to put out the fire.
First, we extracted all melted plastic from the burned coolers and removed parts that had carpet burns in some spots. After removing the melted plastic, we used a pre-spray deodorizer to help with the soot/burnt smell and then steam cleaned. Once finished, we sprayed the deodorizer one more time. We sent a text to the homeowner informing them that we were finished with the carpet cleaning.
